Astrology of the Week Ahead

February 23 – March 1

3 Things to Keep in Mind This Week

First — your body is telling the truth. Before you try to rationalize what’s happening, notice what’s happening in your nervous system. Irritation, inflammation, exhaustion, tenderness, restlessness — this is a week that lands in the body before it makes sense in the mind.

Second — not everything needs immediate clarity. With Mercury stationing retrograde in Pisces, discernment becomes sacred. Reflection is more powerful than reaction. You do not need to solve everything in real time.

Third — tension is not a sign you’re off track. Some of what’s surfacing is here to close a longer cycle, especially in the Taurus area of your chart. Liberation sometimes arrives through friction.

Monday, February 23

The week opens with the Moon in Taurus squaring Mars and then conjoining Uranus, all under a first quarter Moon. First quarter Moons bring pressure. They ask you to act, adjust, or commit to something that has been building since the New Moon.

With Mars in the mix, the pressure feels physical. You may notice a shorter fuse, tension in your shoulders or jaw, a desire to push something forward. When Uranus joins the picture, reactions can feel erratic or surprising — even to yourself.

Mars is building toward an exact square with Uranus later in the week, so this day acts like a preview. Something may feel like it’s buzzing under the surface, ready to erupt.

The invitation isn’t to suppress frustration — it’s to regulate it. Move your body. Channel the heat into something constructive. Ask yourself what change you’ve been avoiding that your body is now demanding.

Tuesday, February 24 – Wednesday, February 25

The Moon moves into Gemini and opposes Lilith while beginning to square the Sun, North Node, Venus, and Mercury in Pisces. These are emotionally and mentally layered days.

Gemini wants to talk things through. Pisces dissolves boundaries. Lilith exposes what’s been hidden or shamed. Together, this can stir up conversations — internal or external — around desire, vulnerability, and the parts of you that don’t always feel socially acceptable.

You may feel tension in relationships where something unspoken wants to be acknowledged. At the same time, we are in the pre-shadow of Mercury retrograde. Miscommunication, unclear tone, projection, and confusion can quietly creep in.

Instead of forcing clarity outwardly, turn inward. Journal. Meditate. Create. Let your mind wander into fantasy without losing yourself in it. Stay connected to your core while exploring your hidden edges.

The parts of you that feel shameful or secret are not weaknesses. They are wells of power. The work this week is not exposure — it’s safe integration.

Thursday, February 26

Mercury stations retrograde in Pisces.

This is a deeply intuitive, porous retrograde. The line between imagination and reality can blur. You may find yourself wondering whether something actually happened or whether you filled in the gaps.

Themes that can surface now include misinformation, forgetfulness, heightened dreams, emotional overwhelm, and difficulty articulating subtle feelings. For creatives, healers, therapists, and intuitive practitioners, this can be fertile ground. Inspiration may feel strong — but translating it into concrete plans may feel slippery.

This is not the best time to initiate contracts, negotiations, or major commitments. If you must move forward with something logistical, triple-check it. Confirm attachments. Follow up. Ask for clarity. Due diligence is care, not paranoia.

This retrograde may also ask you to refine your dreams. Where have you romanticized something? Where does a vision need practical grounding? Dream — but keep your feet on the earth.

Thursday, February 26 – Friday, February 27

As Mercury shifts direction, the Moon moves into Cancer, conjoins Jupiter, and trines the Pisces planets. Emotion rises to the surface in a softer way.

You may feel more sensitive than usual. There can be a deep desire for safety, belonging, and nurturance. The body may crave warmth, familiarity, and protection.

This is a beautiful time to connect with chosen family or loved ones who feel safe. Conversations rooted in care can feel healing. There may also be a strong pull toward protecting those who are vulnerable or marginalized.

If the retrograde feels disorienting mentally, let the body and heart anchor you. Eat nourishing food. Rest. Be near water. Let yourself feel what’s present without needing to fix it.

Friday, February 27

This is a potent day. Mercury retrograde conjoins Venus in Pisces while Mars in Aquarius perfects its square to Uranus in Taurus.

The Mercury-Venus conjunction can blur communication around love, money, and values. Nostalgia may surface. Old relational patterns may reappear in subtle ways. It may feel romantic — or confusing — or both.

This is not an ideal day for ultimatums or major financial decisions. If something must be handled, slow it down and get multiple perspectives. Don’t assume clarity — confirm it.

At the same time, Mars and Uranus complete a longer story. Think back to July 15, 2024, when Mars and Uranus were conjunct in Taurus. Themes around security, resources, self-worth, or the body may have ignited then. Those themes may have stirred again around mid-June 2025 and early November 2025.

Now we reach a turning point.

This square can feel abrupt or destabilizing. There may be final tensions that need to surface in order for you to move forward. Something in the Taurus sector of your chart is closing out its chapter. Uranus is wrapping up its story there, and Mars is pushing you through the last threshold.

Pause before reacting. Ask what outdated definition of stability you are outgrowing. Liberation can feel like disruption before it feels like freedom.

Saturday, February 28

The Moon in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius, bringing power dynamics into focus.

Leo is about the heart, self-expression, leadership, and creative truth. Pluto in Aquarius represents collective systems, group dynamics, and deeper power structures. You may feel tension between your personal needs and the expectations of others.

This could surface in questions around home, emotional safety, or the body. Notice how power dynamics feel somatically. Does your chest tighten? Does your voice shrink? Or do you feel the urge to overcompensate?

This is an opportunity to practice embodied sovereignty. Leadership doesn’t have to be loud — but it does need to be authentic. Where can you reclaim your power gently but firmly?

The Bigger Picture

This is not a week for acceleration. It’s a week for tending.

Tend to your nervous system.
Tend to your dreams.
Tend to the cycles that are ending.

There is friction, but it’s purposeful. There is fog, but it’s revealing something subtle. There is tenderness, but it’s strengthening you.

A Glimpse at Next Week

On Tuesday, March 3, we build toward a Virgo Full Moon and eclipse, directly opposing this Mercury retrograde in Pisces.

Virgo will ask for discernment. Pisces will still be dissolving boundaries. The tension between faith and fact, dream and detail, will intensify.

Notice now what feels unclear. Notice what needs refinement. Notice where you’re being asked to bring order to something that once lived only in imagination.

Next week, the fog meets the microscope.
